Precious Penny is an actual penny, who experiences several exciting and unexpected adventures. Like any busy penny, Precious Penny rides comfortably in pockets, is swallowed up by a lawnmower, spends a day at school, takes an impromptu bath in a washing machine and ends up in a piggy bank where she meets nickels, dimes and quarters. From there Penny and her friends continue on even more adventures together.
What a wonderful way to teach small children about money. It’s never too early to teach kids about the importance of saving money and where money goes once we’ve spent it. I love books that can be used as jumping off points to teach children. Precious Penny is one of those books. Combined with the large, colorful illustrations, this book is sure to hold the attention of even very small children. Awesome book!
